Screaming Chicken

"If you like zombies, babes, free tattoos, ass pie, beer, laughing, heavy metal, shaving off your friend's eyebrows, tabasco sauce, laughing, babes dressed like zombies and laughing, then you should check out a Screaming Chicken show."

Vancouver International Burlesque and Vaudeville Festival

Latest News

We've been talking about this for sometime... now it's official. I am proud to announce that Screaming Chicken (Taboo Revue) and Precious Productions (Sweet Soul Burlesque) have joined forces to present the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival, February 9 - 12, 2006!

The festival will take place on the weekend before Valentine's Day and will feature a divine array of fabulous burlesque talent from all over Western Canada and the North Western United States. Three distinctive events in three fabulous venues will take us back through the times in burlesque... from rock n' roll neo-flavoured sass to golden-aged classic tease to straight-up comedic vaudeville... all ending with a tassle-twirling party to end all parties in a recently re-discovered and renovated authentic 30's burlesque theatre (seriously, it's amazing, you won't believe it)!

Please join us in making our first festival spectacular! Performers, support staff and volunteers are asked to visit our official website (www.vanburlesquefest.com) and quickly fill out an application form by January 1st, 2005. Performers will be contacted by January 10th, 2005 to confirm appearances and dates. If you are interested in holding a workshop or seminar during the festival, please contact us with the details at info@vanburlesquefest.com.

We are so thrilled to be hosting such an amazing event and are honoured to collaborate with the great northern west coast's best in burlesque! Please forward this to anyone you know that may want to get involved.

Feel free to contact us with any questions... and get out your rhinestones, ladies and gentlemen!
